Case 4-1 1. There was violation of Title 1, Sec. 101 (a), of the Landrum-Griffin Act which seeks to protect employees from improper practices by the labor organizations. Title 1 employee’s rights that were violated include; • Equal rights- all members of labor organization have equal rights to nominate candidates, vote in elections, and attend and participate in membership meetings. Failure to hire a translator denied Spanish speaking members the right to participate in membership meetings.
